Working with a client who wanted a refresh on an existing space required that a vibe and a mood be set from the very beginning, four color pallets were presented, ultimately two of the initial concepts were merged into the finished project.
Starting with the reception area the client asked for a new reception desk that would make a statement. This statement though subtle plays off the clean lines of the vibes page presented and allows the customers to get a clear feel for the new space as they enter.
In the waiting area there is provided a self-serve coffee machine per request of the client who also asked that there be space to keep a small stack of magazines off the coffee and side tables to help avoid a cluttered look. Also provided in this area are retail shelves, with storage both in a credenza underneath to replenish as well as additional storage in the back of the building.
Length of Salon
The choice of colors in the space not only had to help set the moody feel of the salon but they also could not go against the work being done. Taking that into consideration it was important to keep the wall behind the mirrors bright with white walls so that there would not be any issues when cutting and coloring hair as the colors in a space can affect the appearance of the hair after a process has been completed.
