Located on the beach of Lake Washington, this home was inspired by Asian culture and designed for a Japanese family. The architecture was done by me, and I collaborated with landscape architecture student, Bailey Cross, for the landscaping of the home.
Faux beams draw your eye up in the room to appreciate the architecture in the open space. The room is full of a mix of different Japanese artifacts. Above the fireplace there is a Samsung Frame television which allows for entertainment and an interchangeable art piece.
Lower level seating is traditional in Japanese culture.
The bedroom is a calm and serene area for the homeowners to relax. This room is separate from the rest of the home separated by a long hallway with two outdoor patio areas.
