This branch of Glacier Bank was designed in order to accommodate the growing popularity of electronic currency. With a considerably small room for a safe and more room for one-on-one consultation, this layout encourages banking in a paperless world - including money. With new electronic applications such as Venmo and CashApp, the demand for printed money is declining. The exterior of the building incorporates exciting angles that will stand out against the scenery in Kalispell and allow for plenty of sunlight to infiltrate the building.
As money becomes more electronic, the need for financial advice for the younger generations is increasing. Designing areas for financial appointments concerning investing, saving and smart spending is a way to encourage conscious financial activity and long-term thinking.
Glacier Bank Graphic
In an effort to stay consistent with the surrounding scenery, darker and earth-like materials were chosen for the interior space. A graphic with the Glacier Bank logo was also developed for interior signage and wayfinding.
Main Floor Plan
This floor plan design incorporates the ADA and code requirements necessary to include customers and employees alike. With two ADA accessible restrooms, ramps to the building, and an ADA compliant drinking fountain/ water bottle filler station, encouraging sustainability and waste reduction.
With a conference room, a private meeting room, open office space, tellers’ space for two and a comfortable waiting area, this Glacier Bank branch is perfect to attract and serve customers in the outer areas of Kalispell, Montana. In addition to an attractive interior for customers, the employees in this space will have ample daylight and furniture and technology they need to serve the citizens of Kalispell.
